About the Artist

 
Welcome to my website. I am Sara Sadev and I am a self taught artist working predominantly in watercolor and designer gouache.  My paintings are colorful and bright and I love trying new color combinations.  

I have had an interesting journey back to art after many years away.  During the Spring 2020 COVID quarantine my world literally stopped. My career of over 25 years in high end jewelry and fashion was put on hold.  The entire city of Las Vegas, where I live, was shut down.  One day,  I was reading a magazine and saw a photo of a painting and I had an “aha” moment.  I felt this overwhelming need to paint and create.  I ordered a small palette of watercolors, a brush set and paper.  From the moment I picked up the brush, I knew this was right.  I began watching YouTube tutorials and before long my own style had evolved.  Painting has become my passion and with the support from my family, I have become a full time artist. I reside with my husband and we have two grown children that we raised in my home state of New Jersey.
